New York City Councilman Ritchie Torres, has announced that a borough street would be named after Pvt. Emmanuel Mensah of the U.S Army, who died after saving four victims of the Bronx fire incident.
This was reported in New York Daily News' website, and shared by the official Facebook page of the United States Embassy in Ghana.
Mensah, was among 13 victims who died in the tragic fire incident at the Prospect Ave. building on Dec. 28.
It was reported the 28-year old soldier, who was home on holidays at the time of the event, repeatedly raced in and out of the building at least three times, to bring people to safety.
